Mathematics is the foundation of science and social science, and hence a creative research result will be useful in other field. Therefore, we can say the creativity in math is important thing, however, it may take much time before the idea of math can be applicable in other fields. Here, we are going to present some example in which our method was very useful to present new ideas in fields other than mathematics.

Creativity is important not only for mathematics, but also for other fields. We also do activities in IT and statistics. Two students of our group were invited to the Apple's developper conference in U.S. as the first Japanese under 20 years old. The website of Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications adapted design and interface made by us.

The idea used by Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications

Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications held a contest"STAT DASH Grand Prize　2016". If we write what Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications was looking for as a problem, the problem is like the following.

Problem.

Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications has a lot of data on Japan. Please submit an good idea with which Japanese citizen can use the data usefully.

This is the first time that Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications held a contest on statistics of Japan, and many data scientist submitted their ideas to the contest.

First, they choose six groups by the reports submitted to the contest, and a group of professors at Kyoto University, a group of data scientists of IT company, etc moved to the final round of the contest.

We were the only group of students who moved to the final round. Our member were mostly freshmen at high school.

Our variant of the problem.

Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications has a lot of data on Japan. Please submit an good idea with which Junior high school students can use the data usefully.

Since we were freshmen at high school, we find it difficult to use the data provided by Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications. We looked for some good method by which these data can be used by Junior highs school students. We consulted some junior high school teachers, too. At last we could make a proposal to make the statistical data easy to use, and the title of our proposal was "A site for statistical data for elementary and junior high school students".

We won the first prize, and many people in other groups told us that our method was very good, and the site of Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications was quite difficult to use even for data scientists like them.

We were very eager to get our idea realized by Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications, so we proposed to visit it to explain about our idea more precisely. They accepted our proposal, and we were invited by Japanese Ministry of International Affairs and Communications to talk about our idea in front of 20 members of the government. 。

After that they made a site for high school students, too.

Paper wrestling

To put two wrestler made by paper on a table, and by knocking on the table you move your paper wrestler to match agaist your opponent' wrestler.

Our variant

　To realize two wrestler on a tablet, by knocking on the tablet, you match agaist your opponent's wrestler.

One of students of our group thoght that it may interesting to make a table version of paper wrestling, and made a software for iPad. He submitted it to Apple, and he was invited to Apple's World Wide Developper conference in the U.S. Many people try to use tablet as a e-book, but interesting thing about tablet is that you can realize a certain movement on the tablet.

American Football chess

　Last year, a students entered our club after he retired from American foot ball team. He studied programming for two months, and he was going to make a chess software. The advisor of our group told him to make a new type of chess instead of the traditional chess game, since there were too many chess software in the world.

　To make a　American Foot Ball Chess　for tablet.

First, he was going to make a chess game for computer tablet using his programming skill, but he changed his mind. He made American Foot Ball chess game for tablet, and submitted it to Apple. Apple invited him to Apple's World Wide Developper conference in the U.S. He was one of the first person under 20 years old to be invited to the conference. His software of Foot Ball chess is available in Apple's store.

An application for Psychology

　The student who made American Foot Ball Chess Game for tablet entered psychology department of a university. When he visited a laboratory of psychology, he found out that there are many psychology test that use papers. He knew that his friend made a paper wrestler game for a tablet, and he thought that it may be a good idea to develope some software of psychology test on a tablet.

This psychology test on tablet turned out to be more useful than traditional test on paper, and he is now developing other tests on tablet with his professor. He is going to sell them.
